We need some more info.
What does he want from the boat, SAWs type runs for a few seconds, ovals for a few laps, or ovals for several minutes?
That size sounds like an outrunner and sometimes they use the can size, sometimes stator size, and sometimes a mixture of both. How big is the motor or what does it weigh?
What ESC is he using? Is it water cooled?
How big is the boat, and what does it weigh RTR?Paul Upton-Taylor, Greased Weasel Racing. -
Those must be the stator sizes not the case size at that weight.
Prop size depends on how many laps he wants to run he should get about 4-5 mins on an 1.4 30mm prop, and it could likely take a 1.4 35mm prop for 6 laps.
Gratz to him, that is a nice light build for the size.
I'd like to see any pictures he has of the build/boat.Paul Upton-Taylor, Greased Weasel Racing.Comment
