Biggest prop available?

Hi Guys,

What is the largest diameter and pitch prop you know of for the 1/4" 6.35mm shaft, biggest I can find is the CNC 3 blade 74mm 4P. It's for a 1/4 scale hull I am designing, I am going to use a 50cc 3HP engine , but 9000rpm maximum so I need a large pitch.

Is this a surfacing or submerged application? What is your speed goal? The 3418-10-50 prop below has the potential to reach around 40 mph if the OP?s motor will actually spin it at 9K and if the hull is a decent design.

If you a big prop The Propshop is way to go ,if you want the best big prop 2,3,4or 5blade props(max dia 110mm)

Actually the Prop Shop props go up to 115 mm (4.5”) but their cleaver design may not work well on the OP’s hull. Plus the torque/prop walk reaction could be very high, depending on the boat’s design. The OP needs to answer the questions above before we can give him the best advice.

Hi All

Thanks for the replies , I wasn't aware of the prop shop, google was only really showing results for Ebay and Banggod etc....

The prop will be fully submerged, I am planning on using a 1/4" flexible prop shaft with a transom mounted Skeg mounted low, rudder behind that.

Won't be a super fast boat, will be happy if it gets on the plane. I am thinking a 4 blade round ear (not a cleaver) in the biggest diameter and 5" pitch , If I can find one. Might email sales @ propshop and see what the biggest round ear props they have are.
