    Octura X655 versus 1655

Can anybody tell me the difference between the 2. I'm thinking the 1655 for a sport hydro and wondered which of the 2 would be better suited.
    Thanks for your help

The 1655 has a lot more lift than an x655 prop and more blade area. You can reduce much of the lift by cupping and detounging the prop but it will still have more lift than an x655. But for a hydro that's not a bad thing, the extra lift can help keep the bow down.

You might want to try an ABC 2216 prop with 15* to 20* rake, if you can find one.

Been trying to get ahold of Brian and see what he suggest. Sounds like the 16 series might be better for a rigger.

Not sure Chris, it's not my boat. But that sounds right.

This is for a PT sport 45.
Well I'm going to run a TP 5650 1290 kv motor. This motor is 6 pole and 100gr heavier than a 4 pole Neu 1527 1250 kv, which is what most run in q sport hydro. I know they run X455 with extra pitch on this set up. I know I can run a more aggressive prop than they can. Just not sure where to start. A 455 with 3.8 or 3.9" of pitch might oval better and have less hop than a 655 with same pitch put into the prop. Just thinking out loud here.

Mark, try an ABC 2215/17*. That works great on my Q Sport with 1527/1Y, faster than a reworked x455 but it will pull a few more amps. Do NOT wash out the trailing edge cup!

How many mah do you need for that motor? For racing that is...

I could safely run 7 laps plus mill with 6500 mAh in my QSH. I recently replaced the packs with 7700s out of my SAW boat for the extra weight.

Brian is sending me a 2316 56mm prop. I think that should get the job done.
