New motor and prop set up. What prop do I pick??

    I recently switched my motor set up on my Blackjack 24 from a Leo 3650 2750kv with a seaking 120a on 5s to a Leo 4074 1800kv with a Raider 150a on 5 or 6s. I had been running the blackjack 29 prop, an M440 or X637.

Obviously my Rpms are way down on the new set up and I have plenty of room to prop up but how far should I go? X445? 1.5 pitch on a 47mm prop?

It's disappointing on the X440 because it's slower than my previous set up. Appreciate any help on this

the diameter on a X445 is 45 MM with a 1.4 pitch ratio

Do you have any suggestions for what I should prop up to?

You should be able to go to an m645 on 5S. Can't speak to how it will handle or what the run time will be.

          Fluid,

I ordered that prop so I will give it a try. As for how the boat handles..... I'm running a Leo 4074, 150a esc and 5 to 6s batteries in a blackjack 24. It doesn't handle. Lol

This is too much prop but I just wanted to try it. I just ran a 47mm prop and it was a screamer. Stupid fast. So much so on my second pass I was close to the shoreline while full throttle. I got too close and did a quick steering adjustment. It lifted off the water and flew at least 30 feet straight into a tree.

Good thing I have another hull.

Your wife is costing herself more money by limiting you to the 24" boat.

I had that exact thought today. Very true.
