    Zonda want bigger props

Hi I currently have 45mm aluminum props, don't know the pitch but looks like 1.4, have 2150 kv motors I run on 5-6 s,would my next step be 47mm? They are cheap at OSE, I need to buy already ballenced ,if anyone has other suggestions I'm all ears,I want to buy faster props ,thanks

It is hard to say what prop to upgrade, what is the amp draw with the 45s? Telling us just the motor Kv is not helpful, what size and quality of motors? How fast is the boat now and how fast do you hope to go? How do you use your cat...Back to back speed passes, oval running or just screwing around?

Without knowing any of the above, you are probably safe upgrading to 47s. Don't expect the speed to increase more than 5%.

The motors are high end 38 mm cans ,I'll have to find the brand ,don't know amp draw as I'm a beginner,I just blast back and forth at the local lake ,just a summer time thing I'll be back on dirt once it cools off ,need to buy props as one is chipped so I thought I would just get a little bigger or better ,I need them ballanced and that limits what I can buy ,on my other genesis single I'm up to an M 447, someone suggested that prop and it works great ,I'm just having fun with boats ,nothing serious ,thank you

Okay, how hot are the motors and speed control after each run? If they are under 115*F then bigger props are probably safe. Either 47 or 50mm if you are tied to the aluminum props - I understand you are new and the aluminum props are easier. Just check the temps often to keep things under 130*F.

The motors and ESC are not hot at all ,I'll run till I think the lipos have had enough and stop before the lipo cut off and the only thing warm is the connectors ,I'll try and find a counter rotating m447 and take the prop off my HK ,and up size it ,thanks
