Need to remove the plastic liner in the tube? Need a prop, the store has a balanced 45mm 2.17 pitch ,sounds like a bit much,I'm ready to order my last parts help please ,thanks

MG there's no problem with the flexcable...just use a dremel with a cutting disk to make the spot for the drivedog. You can use thrust washers..... just leave a gap between drivedog and strut(3/16").You can run with the teflon liner in the tube....I always remove them for my bots as they produce lot of drag. The 45mmX 2.17 looks good but depends on which motor is in your boat....you can get a try to a 42mm too. Thanks Gill

Thanks for the info ,I have a 445 and a 642 prop I'll be using plus various motors I've pulled out of my buggies for the summer, too hot here, still have a lot to learn ,I'll leave the tube out and won't worry about the thrust washers ,still need prop nuts but are back ordered,a 5mm nut went on smoothly,I have motors 40x72-82 at 1500 -2200 kv,I want to run on the edge, the only experiance I have with boats is a stock Spartan on 6s,so I definatly want more speed ,I'll be running the cat and the Spartan ,but for now I'm getting the cat set up ,almost ready now that I know I don't need a different tube ,thank you,

A X445 or X642 for a 4082 motor isn't a big deal ..you will be on the safe side so no worries.Gill
