    Need prop expert advice !

I am getting close to finding the correct prop for my Titan 29. I have ran 438x 2b , 440m 2b and a 440x 3b. The boat gets up on plane the best with the 2 blades but lacks the top speed of the 3b. I'm guessing my top speed is close to 45 mph with the 440x 3b. I am wanting to go 50 mph. I'm running a modded speedmaster strut that has a ride plate attached and like the way it makes the boat handle. The plate shaves off a good portion of water that the prop sees so selecting a prop is getting interesting for me . Here is a vid of it running with the 440x 3b . The narrater was kind of funny, I didn't know him at all and I'm pretty sure he was a homeless person but he did a good job running the camera . Thanks in advance for advice.

    Several suggestions:

    1. Lose the lexan drag plate, it does no good for the boat and hurts in several areas. The Titan runs wonderfully without the added junk. CG and strut adjustments will fix the ride attitude. I'd have put the trim tabs closer to the keel where they will actually do some good.

    2. The Titan is easy to push but for 50 mph you don't have near enough prop pitch. The 3-blade went faster because it was more efficient with your limited water flow to the prop. Try an m645, that should have enough pitch to get close to where you want to be assuming the batteries are up to the task. Just watch temps.

The octura 600 series is just about the fastest prop in it's class it is there thinnest casting and at 1.6 pitch ratio just about perfect for a monos !!

Jay I like my ride plate ! It doesn't drag ! It just blocks some of the water from the prop. It works like trim tabs too. I understand it looks odd but works . It's basicaly just an extension of the keel that's adjustable. Much respect for your advice I'm just not done toying around with it yet. I think I will give your prop recommendation a go , thanks

The tabs are wide set but I was wanting to see how the throw off from the turn fins and keel make the boat act , I am hoping for very high speed running for this hull without it blowing out of the water, so far all seems to be going good.

            So why not a 638x or 640x or the 642 x ?

Hey man, im not sure how similiar this hull is to my impulse 31, but, I tried a m645 on it and it did not like it. The x642 detongued worked best by far.

Thanks ! I like this kind of input ! I'm not too worried about detonging because of my setup . I thought the 438x performed better than the 440m . My Titan does have a 31" footprint so it could be similar what kind of speed are we talking ? If I can get it up between 50-55 mph I'm good.

man i was mid to high 40's with a 1500kv motor. I did do a bunch of gps passes with it. it wasnt quite lined out by the time i sold it. that prop (642) will easily get you over 50mph depending on your rpm (motor kv and voltage). If the x performed better than the m, dont detongue it as much.

                    Nice, I'm thinking 638x now . I'm running a 2200kv CC 1515 on 4s... I guess I could run 5s with the 438x 2b lol

It was running around mid 30's I think with the 438

Guys , I bought my prop from FDM, I have had good luck in the past with them. Dasboata I will like to get a prop from you when I'm closer to knowing wich one works best.
