I don't know....but....I know I remove my props and shafts after all runs and store the shaft dry and oiled in my boat and the prop dry and labeled in a Ziploc in a tackle box.
    Hope this helps some...

I leave mine on, but then again, I only have one "race" boat and that had a cnc prop on. (ALL my other boats are sub-8".) I just put a B/S x642 on so I might start removing it.

I leave them on most of the time, but I get these tiny zip lock medicine bags to cover them , it also prevents the grease to drop onto my table and helps to prevent my hand get cut by the blades.
Too many boats, not enough time...

I put a piece of light foam looped around on the prop.
          Bit of a story here.
I needed to do this as my scale runabout (her claimed boat) has a good prop on it and it gets to live in the house. The GF was disting one day and when she swiped under the boat she got sliced. A very bad thing. Danger, Danger!!! So now indoor boat get condoms on sharp bits. LOL

That'll teach her to touch your junk. I hope it wasn't too bad.
