This is my first attempt at b/s and thinning a prop and I think I did the wrong side of the prop blades. I sanded and sharpened the back side if the prop, the section closest to the nut. What can I expect from the prop????

As long as you did'nt remove too much material,you might get away with it.Sharpening and balancing on the face of the prop will change the blades diameter if you aren't careful,thats why we remove the material from the backside of the prop(drive dog side). -

and you won'y be the last guy either , always remove from the back side of the prop . This is were the notched out part is for the drive dog .

I now know more about thinning balancing and sharpening of props. Rest assured, It won't happen again.
