    Which would cause more amps?

    Motor is a castle 1515 1y on 5s.
    I'm running a x642 detounged.
    I also have an m445.
Will the m445 cause more amps?
    Esc t180
    Thanks

I am pretty sure the m445 will pull more amps,
What hull is this setup in ?

I think that the 642 would pull more. A bump up in pitch will make a large difference in consumption and speed whereas a little diameter doesn't change much.Saying that, pitch will also change the handling more dramatically(more lift). Now of course, this will depend on the motor(torque and such),some like less pitch and more diameter.

          Ok,
          Yes.
With my Daytona with the same setup as you have and using 4s in parallel,
I run a x442 most of the time.
But if I run the m445 it runs a little hotter but gives a little more speed to.

I could log the diff this Sunday. Kinda small props for a 1717 but... Or I could hook up the ET on the rigger and see. That is a good mission.

I may just toss the 445 on there with a gps.
It's funny cause out of any prop I've ever bought, this one is actually rather sharp and thin bone stock out of the mold. It's not gonna take much.... Wish they all came like this. Weird

The 6 series have 22% more pitch that the 4 series!

I ran the CC1515 1y 2200 on (2) 5s batteries with a T-180 spinning a M445 prop in my Genesis hull with no heat problems at all. That was till I split the hull beyond repair.

I think I will give it a shot then...
Anyone think more diameter will give more speed?

445 is definitely a step up from a 642 but not much. similar speeds and amp draw, but the 445 should be a bit faster. the larger diameter is prob better for the MM hull too. When changing from the 642 to the 445 raise the strut about a 1/16th of an inch.

The m445 is the best all around prop there is. It works well in so many different hulls and power plants.

This never made sense to me, the 642 has more overall pitch then a 445. 2.478 from a 445 vs 2.64 from the 642. To me this says the 642 should be faster on paper but it has been my experience ( looks like I'm not the only one) that the m445 is faster. With out a GPS or running through the lights I don't have any empirical evidence, but visually I feel the m445 not only pulls harder out of the corners but has more top end as well. I have two 642's too, we'll call one an x series and one an m, hard to confirm much visually.

What does 5s a MM and a 1515 1y run? Gotta be well into the 60's with a 445. One of the few times I ran using my buddies GPS I hit 54 and change with a hk4074 in a geico hull running a m445. Well I just switched the 4074 for a 1515 1y in my pursuit and the difference is night and day. Bet your MM gets your juices flowin with that set up.

                              Well with the 642 I'm getting 60, but haven't tried the 445.
Since I don't have data logging, I wasn't sure it the 445 would be safe...
