Which way do u guys spin your props in a twin cat ?

building my first twin cat and trying to decide weather to spin my props in or out. i know that on scale boats one direction will give you more speed but less handling and the other direction give u better handling but less speed and i cant remember which was which. so which way do u guys spin your props in or out ? thanks

Good question? I just built a twin and I just made them spin in. Is that right?

Depends what you're after. If running counter rotating props you want for them to spin outward so the boat handles better. If you're after SAW kinda stuff then make the props turn inwards. This will make a TREMENDOUS difference if you're running a powerful boat. With the props spinning in the bow lifts more so the boat goes faster. If spinning out the transom lifts up boat runs a bit more wet but handles way better. Up to you and what you're after try both and see which setup you prefer.

I was corrected by a board member on here and turns out if props spin in the bow lifts less, I'm going to do some testing with my cleaver props later today and see how it goes. I can say with quite a bit of certainty that the boat will go faster in a straight line with props spinning in, if you want to crank turns though try them spinning outwards.

When spinning props inward it has the effect of pulling the transom down raising the bow ... spun outward just the opposite!

All depends in the boat. Not all hulls will react the same way. Determining prop direction can only be done by testing.
