No matter what prop you put on it, it will fail running 6s on a 2200kv motor.
Could work for short saw runs but not sport running. Jmowhite geico w/2200kv 3674 leopard 53.5mph 4s2p, geico w/ 1800kv outrunner 52mph on 4s2p, genesis w/2200kv castle 53.8 on 4s2p, impulse 31 w/2200kv castle, stock p1 and ul-1Comment

2200kv Leo 180 amp esc 2x3s in parallel so 6s, everthing is set up good ,
Is that a typo? Because 2 x 3s in PARALLEL is still 3s. Did you mean series?
A 2200kv motor is best on 4s. Sometimes 5s for hot runs. 3s is not enough &, as stadiumyamaha pointed out, 6s (if you are running your packs in series) is too much for sport running.See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

Prather props. If you really want to go fast, put a octura V942 3 blade, you only need about 32,000rpm to go over 70mph with the "V" series prop. when my boat is balanced and working well, none of my electronics get hot to the touch. When I first tried the v prop, things were way off and esc and motor got hot real quick, but now the boat is fast and doesnt get hot. Of course you dont get the long run times, but give and take. I have had no problems except hull cant handle crashing at speed well. I dont know about your motor, but I have been using a NEU 1515/1/Y (2200kv) for at least 40 runs in the last year. I burned 1 esc and thats it. I am just sharing personal experience, not optimal choices. And I am running EagleTree on my boat for GPS, tons of data.Comment

On the above video, it came to rest up on the bank, you can hear the "clunks" at the end. That crash did not hurt at all, I threw it back in and finished the charge. When it crashed, I was Full throttle for about .5 of a second. So much more speed if you can keep it on the water.Comment

losi100,
6S is more than that Leo is rated for. You should consider a NEU, Castle, or perhaps a SP motor is you want to run RPM that high. That is why I run a Neu im my rigger.
F1Rogers / all:
Is there way to reduce th lift on a Geico hull to prevent blow over? I remembe4r reading about an approch for the UL-1 where they made an air dam at the front of the tunnel enterance. It was a flap, made out of tape. It reduced the tunnell enterance by about 1/2 inch, not much but enough. Has anyone tried somthing like this to reduce the lift on a Geico?Cheetah, Super Rio, (Mod) Starship (Mod and sold),Comment

What was ur final prop? I also have the same setup but need to find a motor first. I have a 180 esc and run 6s most of the time and do run 4s some. Do u have problems with ur temps and like I have heard on here a 2200 kv is to much for 6s. Ur thoughts. Thanks NealComment

cool geico
Hi Neal, I ran an m645 octura and it goes pretty fast , 50 + the esc isnt even warm or the batts or motor, so i will try a slightly bigger one and will let you know how I get on, I did blow my esc up a while ago, i think i had a x450 on it , so I am going go steady on prop sizes until i find the sweet spot, batteries are 2x3s 3700s 90cComment
