    Mystic x645 any good?

As the title states I have a octura x645 with a setup of tacon 4074, seaking 120 amp I've heard of problems with bounce and some saying it has to do with the props. Is this at all true? Will the x645 produce that bounce? Should I upgrade to say and m445 or what would u recommend for this setup? I would like to stick with the 645 if at all possible but I am willing to spend the extra cash to get this setup correctly!

I would step up to a 180 for the 645. My Geico loves that prop.

Sometimes a 1.6 pitch prop creates too much lift & lifts the back of the hull off the water. COG & strut angle adjustment can dial it out. An m545 seems to work well on a lot of cats, but try the M445 first. But it all depends on what KV the motor is, & what voltage you are running. I'm assuming 4s with around 2000kv to 2200kv. But as sirislash suggested, a 180A ESC would be a wise upgrade. The 120A night struggle a bit.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

Using 2 2s lipos, 5,000 mah gens ace hard case batteries! A 2100 kv motor! And will an upgraded flex shaft be needed or not?? Is it critical to run an upgraded one or no??

I run 4s2p 5000mah in mine with a Castle 1515(4074) 2200kv on a .150 cable that I glued to the shaft. My stock flex lasted a long time and even think it just spun off due to the motor collet backing off.
          +1 on the X445,M545,M645

I glue the cable to the shaft with Loctite 638 instead of the silver solder method. I have had waaayy less failures this way. Actually I have not had one of my glued cables fail.

So u basically do away with the motor collet? How do u grease the cable then???

When a flex is glued (Loctite)its where the flex goes into the stub shaft (prop shaft), everthing else coupling etc stays the same with the flex going into the collet coupling & tightened.

Ok back to the whole prop thing then, which would be a better choice a m445 prop to replace my x645 or a ose flex shaft???

I was merely stating that the glued .150 shafts were plenty strong for our application. And thanks Martin for grabbing the ball that I dropped

Mega, all you have to do is raise the strut a little at a time to get rid of bounce usually. You are running the boat light so it may be different than mine.
