what prop? PT hydro 1515 1Y

just ran my boat for the first time witha abc 1814 prop, boat ran 33mph and motor was at 100* and controller was at 110*. the prop came off and ended my test run. the motor is a castle 1515 1Y 2200kv and using 4s, was looking for some octura prop recommendations. boat was not trimmed good, was not running smooth and looked wet. is there a good way to keep my bullet prop nut from coming loose again?

I'm running a Leopard 4074 2200kv on 4s. Boat runs great with an M445 prop. Everything in 100 degree or below range usually.

+1 on the m445. Will give great speed with good temps.

Use some loctight on the shaft. Just a drop. You're gonna pick up about 20 mph with that prop if you're setup is ok.

Use these to hold the props on. Just noticed you asked about this also in 1st post also.

ya I added that in there, I have not lost a prop on my other boat but it is small 2s rigger. the hydro setup is freaking insane compared to the rigger. I am going to make an order from OSE in the morning, Thanks for all the info.

Yup my knees still shake everytime I run my Stealth. Scares the heck out of me too, but I love it! Hydros are addicting. My son has been running cats, v's, and tunnels. He's been watching us run ours and picked up his own recently. Now he's a hydro fan too.

Mine ran well on an M445 and an X642 with the 1515. I'd suggest running (2) 4S packs in parallel if you are not already doing so, otherwise you may puff the batts. You should easily be in the 60mph+ range.

                      Where is your CG?

I always ran a m445 on the PT stealth I bought from rummy, tried a few different including the x642 but overall the m445 was my fav... I had a 4074 2200kv... so same basic setup.... ran great... just over 50 and handled like a dream...

I am running to 4s packs and my COG is 15.5". I have a x640 on order should be here Wednesday. I will do some test runs and tuning with the m445 and see how fast I can get it going.

Mine too when I run the 47" Mono in my signature below, and this is a fact, not just a "saying"...............folks wont know until they have seen 20+ lbs of fiberglass and aluminum fly by them at 70+ mph....................way different deal than an Impulse at 45.

It is a "rush" driving some of these boats. I've been told I "shake like a crack addict in rehab" after running. Plus it's alot safer when your life is not actually at risk.....well unless your wife finds out how many boats you have or how much they cost. lol
