    Which prop ???

    Hi all !

I am a little confused regarding wich prop to use.....

My boat is a homemade hydro, 20 inch long, 2.5 pounds with all the
hardware of the Aquacraft UL-1 ...(almost 30inch long and 4 pounds).

What size prop should i start with ???

Without better information, batteries/speed controller/motor, thats a tough question to answer. A hull that size will do well with a prop as big an Octura X535 but without better details I hate to see you burn stuff up. Maybe a X430 to start? Seems big enough to get her wet. Wow. That came out wrong. You know what I mean. What kind of RPM's do you expect to be turning?

      hi John !

      I'm using everything that come in a Aquacraft UL-1 ; motor 36-56-2030kv, 60A ESC, .150 flexshaft.

I have some X430....so i guess that i am going to try those for a start.

      thanks !

Yvan. given you are using all ul1 equipment on a boat that size I would say x440, x442 and maybe a m445. X442 would be the best although the m445 will get you more speed, just watch the motor temps.

Oops. JimClark is correct. Let me put it this way. The equipment you have could handle a prop up to a m4445. HOWEVER, this would be way too much for the small size hydro you are running and would blow over pretty quickly. Start with the prop you have and see how it goes.
