H5 prop, what is it best for and what's the total pitch?

Hey guys, I have one laying around and wondered what it would do compared to an x445?

Does it have more pitch than 1.4?

    What is the total pitch?

    Thanks

    ABC H-5 Propeller.

    Propeller diameter 45mm (1.78")

    Pitch 68mm (2.70")

    Fits 3/16" Prop Shafts

Mainly a hydro/rigger prop. A good bit of lift. It's the prop I use on my 33" Whiplash Hydro. It's pitch is just a smidge over 1.5. On this particular boat it is faster than both an Octura M645 & a Prather S225.
That's the only info I can offer from personal experience.

The H-5 has a lot more effective pitch than an x445. While it is listed as 2.7", it is a much more progressive pitch than Octura X props have - the x445 is listed with 2.5" but the H-5 has more effective pitch than an x645 does. Comparing the pitch values alone will not give a good idea of what the ABC props are comparible to when looking at Octura props.

Yup. I have an h6 I purchased for my Stealth Sport hydro. That prop was awesome on that boat. Dont even try one on a mono though. It will cavitate like crazy!

Thanks Guys, it may be too much for a mild upgrade from an x445 then...............and its for a mono anyways, so I'll go x448 I believe.

Yeah, my Rico mono hard a hard time getting in plane with the h6. Even when it did, it still cavitated.

A Prather S225 is a good mild upgrade from an X445. I would say that an X448 is a bit more than just a mild upgrade. That all depends on the motor, ESC & batteries of course, & how close the the ideal limit of the package you are already running.

Its the 45" Dumas in my signature. The motor is a 4082 1000kv on 6s2p, runs nice and cool and is a plug and play everytime. The x445 got it to 33mph, fairly scale with the Ken and Barbie dolls, I just wanted a tad more speed. Threw the x448 on and it hit 38 with zero problems. Gonna settle on an x447 and around 36 mph.

                  Thanks all for your input!

                    Cool.
I love it when Ken & Barbie go boating on the lake.
