Do streamlined prop nuts make any performance gains or is it just a cleaner look?

On surfacing prop installations they are just for looks. Oh, they are also great for losing your prop....

I agree. I've lost many props with those nuts.

I use them in conjunction with the regular nut with no problems, and I always thought thats the way they should be run, JMO.

Nice for "show and tell" but not really practical.

Me too... They look cool, but unless they are PERFECT, they cause unnecessary vibration/wobble, and tend to come off.

I have to use them on my 1/8" stuff, simply because that's what is available, but I use a dab of blue Loctite on them...
