I've built 10 twins, all have had inward rotating props, But more importantly it depends where you put the drives, if the drives are in the sponsons, then reguardless the boat will not turn great, one prop will unload too much in the corner, usually the inside one thus forcing the the boat to spin like it's on ice. I've always put my drives as close to the center of the boat as possible. Use the guide of the biggest possible prop you will use and then have about a 1/2" between the props, this is what Remy and Andy brown and the Fines have told me about building twins. The closer to the center the less the inside prop will unload and your push is coming from closer to the center of the boat so if there is any difference between cells speedo and motor the effects will be less felt. BTW my big aeromarine twins I've built, (Avenger, Conquest and sprintcats and all have handled left and right turns great, all with center mounted rudders.

I am a bit confused at this point because I have got a few different ways on setup. As it stands right now both props turn outwards. This is a genesis boat and motors are in the sponson and I have been informed that one should turn to right and other turns to the left. The flex cables are right and left wind and the props are octura x442 right and left props. On this cat the option to put the drives as close as you suggest is not possible in this hull. The rudder is centre mount also.As it stands now;I not sure what to do.Comment
