Newbie question on prop installation

When installing the prop, do you tighten the prop nut so the prop is tight against the dog?

yes, snug it down good (use a self locking nut if you got them, it you don't have them you can double nut them in place.)
and also make sure and grind a flat spot on the hard shaft for the drive dogs
set screw to bite into. That way the drive dog won't spin on the shaft nor
creep up the shaft when you tighten the prop nut.

Dont use a bullet nut.....They look really cool, but you want you're prop to stay put. I agree completely with above post.
