    Pre Balanced Props

Kintec Racing is now offering a line of pre-balanced CNC machined aluminum props.

I haven't tried them, but the should be lightweight, and they are machined instead of cast.

    Could be interesting

I have used one before, X444 and I ordered some more yesterday. It worked fine with no noticeable bending. I ran it on a Pro Boat Impulse31 with a UL1 motor. It ran 36.8mph. I ran the same setup this past weekend with an Ocutra X445 and it ran 38.6. So I think that is about right as far as an increase in speed.

The downside to the aluminium props is their more delicate & damage quite easy.

I would assume they are heat treated

If you hit something in the water they are very easy damaged, i had heard that someone had shed a blade on a cnc aluminium prop as well.

I run some TJM aluprops and I like them very much. I'd run aluprops exclusively if they came in all sizes. The downsides (of which I experienced none) is just worth it to me, compared to spending hours on balancing, sharpening and polishing.

Al. props are not the best, If sharpened the metal is too thin.
So don't sharpen them, only semi-sharpen Aluminum props.
that being said I ran an Al. x640 at Valdosta SAW races @ 62.517 mph and had no failures.
(yes, it was semi-sharpened at that speed)
