I've seen many different props discussed for the Genesis and Daytona's, but everybodies set-up/goals are a little bit different so i'm asking in a new thread. Anyways, my set-up is a Leopard 4074 1800Kv motor, Seaking 180 ESC, 4s lipo. I'm thinking about starting with an X442, but i'm also thinking this set-up can handle a bit more prop than that right off the bat. So i need to order a couple props, i have many but they are either way to big (X448's) or way small (215's and X440's). Just looking for reliability, not right on the edge top end. I know there is alot of expirience around here with this particular hull so nailing down the right prop shouldn't be an issue. Whachya'll think?

remember to raise the propshaft height to compensate for any increase in prop diameter.

I ordered a couple of props the other day, 1 of them being a TFL X444 (44mm x 62mm pitch) that i'm gonna try first. Again, i do have several X447's too so i will try one of those as well.Comment

I run an x645 on mine and it runs cool with a turnigy xk-4074 2000kv, turnigy 180a esc and 4s so not a million miles away from your setup.Comment

I run a 448/3 blade prop on my set up. T180 ESC with Leopard 4082 2200kv on 4s2P 3300/50C Lipos. Goes great temps little bit up and 4min+ run times. Torque rolls out of the hole if you don't ease on the throttle. With an X445 everything was cold, but speed was a bit down, I'm guessing only high 40's. To be honest i'd run the 448/2 should be fine.Comment

I just balanced and polished up one of my X447's, i put it on the boat and it just looks massive on there lol. I have more expirience with mono hulls, and i've never run any boat with Lipo's before, that might be why i feel this is way to much prop for the boat when in reality it may not be. I've got 2 set's of 40c 2S1P Turnigy lipo's for the boat, i might save the 444 TFL for my Spartan instead and give the X447 a try first.Comment
