    Is an Octura 1740/3 a good prop for....

    a 25" Maus/Bandit shovel running on 4S,Ammo 2300,MissGeico/proboat esc?......does it has the right lift for it or is it overkill?....thanks,...Al

    1700 series are good for outboard riggers try it and see good luck !!

      To expound on what dasboata said the 17 series are about the highest lift props Octura makes. The reason they work so well on O/B hydros. You may need to do some mods to the prop to make it work on a sport hydro and/or use a very high strut setting to compensate. We use to run 17 series a lot in oval riggers and they performed really well. Because of the blade progression they are very effecient but they do require a little different setup than lower lift props.
