    Octura M545 prop

I bought an Octura M545 prop for the KB45 and it says it is a M545. I measured the diameter of it and found it to be a 47mm prop. Has anyone used this prop? What does yours measure? Did it perform as expected?

You have to clean up this prop really well.
I have an m545 and it measures 48mm

Yep, mine still measures 47mm after I cleaned, sharpened and balanced it. I am going to measure all of my props. So you need to file all new props down to size??? 3mm off?

All of my other props measure smaller than labeled, after cleaned, sharpened and balanced.

So be careful with this prop. It will use more amps than calculated, if you do not file it down to size.

I cut it down to size and I also thinned it down alot, it was twice as thick as most props, octuras molds seem to be getting worn out.

Many of the Octura props made in recent years are thicker to increase blade strength. A few props made a few years ago with thin blades bent too easily when thinned and balanced. Due to the way that surfacing props function, ultra-thin blades offer no performance advantage.
