    Mini Cat Micro Hydro set-up?

I recently bought 2 of the newer 3200 micro hydros used here on OSE. I could not get the first to run so out of frustration I bought a second one. I spent all day trying to get it to run with no luck. So the only thing I could come up with was to raise the strut all the way up with the stuffing tube against the bottom of the hull. Now it runs great. I bought the steel prop from mini cat and polished and s/b it. I will have to research if it's the 34 or the 36. What I'm curious about is the batteries. These boats seem very sensitive to the C-rating. I have a new one from MC with the 25C rating. Boat runs hard for one lap then falls off to half speed. I bought a 2200/30C from the hobby shop and the boat runs hard for 4 laps before it starts to slow down. Im running the battery sideways, centered in front of the motor and the boat runs flat and turns great. If I run the battery to the side of the motor to move CG back the boat lays over to the left, hops and does not run well. I want to try and get some information from you guys so that I can successfully run these boats. My goal is to get a couple young kids on the radio so I can get them into P-Lmtd racing at the club.

    Thanks, Allen

How many cells and are you sure your ESC is setup for the correct number of cells?

Jim, they are 3s. Ran a few charges through them this morning and the batteries seem to be performing better. I will have to research if the 10 shock ESC's are programmable. I believe I'm up to speed now. I will take a video in the future and post on YouTube.

      Thanks, Allen
