Minicat Racing 30A ESC Programming Instructions

Just picked up a Starship and the ESC programming instructions are in Chinese. Does anyone have the old MinicatRacing pdf?
It is no longer on their website and I can't get the ESC to recognize the throttle position on my Airtronics radio (steering works fine).
If you have instructions or know how to do this send me a PM or post...

Shoot Jim @ minicat an e mail. He is usually very willing for customer support.
When did you buy it? I thought the ESC is rated at 40Amp.

I don't know. I had an ESC from their Jollymotor mono, it came with the most basic Futaba Am radio, when I changed the radio to a Tactic, it would not program and calibrate, I did every thing. had to use a Seaking ESC ...
Even Jim could not help me.

This is the old ESC instructions: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...hmentid=127969

Looks the same as what you have already. It is instructions for the 30A version before the new 40A's came out.

                        Hi Tim!
I'm doing well thanks since my major surgery in Nov. 2013! I still have some back trouble but I'm out of the wheelchair now! Thanks for asking!

The Seaking ESC was probably a wise move regardless of anything else.

While on the subject of Seaking ESC's... PLEASE NOTE: if this is the wrong place for this post, please feel free to move it to the correct section.

I came up a solution (I think, haven't tried it yet) for making your own 60a Seaking with the same footprint as the 35amp units like these... http://www.hobbywing.com/product_show.asp?id=224

Start by taking one of these... http://www.ebay.com/itm/251817593753...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT - remove the fan + heatsink & replace it with the water block from one of the Seaking 25A / 35A units like the one in link above.

There's at least a dozen Chinese vendors on eBay selling those in the $18.50 to $22~$25 range. There clones of the HobbyWing units like these... http://www.hobbywing.com/product_show.asp?id=253

I've already done it in reverse. I was tasked with making a low budget car build for a friends 5-year son. I had a 35A seaking on hand. Removed the water block & replaced it with a fan / heatsink I had on hand, works great - I wired the fan to a receiver plug & plugged it into the "BAT" port of the receiver.

Granted the programming options are limited to what the Seakings have, but... Brandon doesn't know the diff, he's too busy having fun with the Rusty I built him.

I took that opportunity to upgrade to a higher amp ESC, I think I used a Seaking 90 AMP.
The original ESC worked great, it liked the original radio, may be I was doing something wrong. 90A is way overkill in that boat but I just had one lying around.
That was my first brushless/lipo boat BTW.
Check out the video on Jim's site, it is a great little mono, only 24" over all length.
My next two boats from Jim were the Samurai catamaran.
Then come the rest of the collection.
