Any ideas for "beginner" upgrades for the stock GEICO 17. Thinking. Getting. My feet wet with 7.4v 3000 mah LIPO batteries....is this the best first step? Any other ideas? Do these bats. Come with the EC3 connectors?

I tried it all. Upgraded to lipo 2s and fried the combo esc/receiver. Upgraded to separate esc and receiver and smoked the motor. Upgraded to brushless motor with esc under deck and had center of gravity issues. Moved esc to center of boat and upgraded drive to as pictured above, and boat rolls over when throttle is applied due to torque. Just because I am stubborn and do not want to accept defeat, and since my autistic 9 year old son owns the boat and is as stubborn as I am, it is a work in progress. Hull is very poorly made and the right sponson is badly cupped. I will have to fill and sand this before it will be high speed capable.
