I bought a non working Nikko Barracuda . I gutted it except for the motor.
I rebuilt with parts I had on hand; 27mhz receiver, small servo, and 1/16Th scale ESC. With a 2s lipo it works ok but very slow for a speed boat,More like a cabin cruiser.
It was originally 9.6 volts so I can understand that. I am using a 2s lipo at the moment.
I would like to speed it up a little. Would a 3s lipo burn out my 1/16Th esc?
It would be difficult to change the motor because it is smaller than 380 size and has a gear reduction so I would have to make a motor mount.
I did remove the bilge pump and shaft but have had a chance to test it again.
The prop is molded to the prop shaft and the shaft is slightly smaller than 1/8"
Any ideas to speed this up a little would be appreciated. Thanks; Don
