Joysway Super Mono X descent motor coupler

    Good day all

Stopped boating around 2 years ago and were recently in the mood again. Ordered myself a Aquacraft Revolt 30 and just bought a Joysway super mono X from my local hobby store. Can someone maybe help me out on a descent motor coupler like a octura or something that will fit my super mono x. Did not even had it on water yet, but I don`t like the set screw coupler - think this will destroy my flex shaft eventually. Did not measure, but the box say: 3.17mm motor and 2.3mm flex. Were thinking the following coupler would work, but need some thumbs up before I order: http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...oct-ocfhe18098.

Do anybody know the size of the aquacraft revolt motor/flex shaft size - also want to order a descent coupler for that as well.

    Thanks all

The collet-style coupler does a very good job of holding a flex cable. I use them on wire drives as well. I believe that the one you are looking for is the one for a .098 cable. http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...oct-ocfhe18098. These couplers reduce in size beyond the .098. I don't have anything that is 2.3mm so I can't check for sure. I'll see if I can find something later this evening and if I can, I'll post.

      Hope this helps.

Ive used the Octura .098 collet on these very 2.3mm flexes, they will close down all be it tightened quite tight to get it to close down to grip. The collet only grips around half the length of the flex than what it should due to closing down to a taper rather than closing down parallel, it also crushes the flex in time due to how tight you have to tighten + tightening to a taper on the flex. It works for a while but far from ideal ecspecialy if you remove the flex often as I do.
