    Aquacraft Mini Mono.....motor bearings

Anyone know where to get them? Maybe a Boca Bearings part number for the correct size? I got the Mini Mono for my son and after only 5-6 runs the bearings in the motor are already shot. I already took the motor out and apart so the bearings are easy to replace.

I just can't see buying a new motor after every 5-6 runs for $40. Basically the motor is nearly 1/3rd the cost of the entire boat RTR.

You could get a motor similar for probably 1/2 the price on Ebay or Hobby King. I know.... sorry.

I bought a new motor from hobby king. The aqua crap motor that comes in it isnt very good at all in my experience.

Got any links to those motors guys? Maybe I'll buy one new motor then take the bearings out of the old one and try to match them up with replacements from Boca. Shame the bearings went so quick, this is a nice little boat, fast too. My 5 year old is obsessed with it. LOL

FYI....I removed the stupid water cooling hose from the boat. The pick up on the transom created lots of drag and made the boat take forever to get on plane. Without it the boat pops on plane almost instantly. That little pipe zip tied to the motor mount didn't do crap anyway.

          ID 1/8"
          OD 5/16"
          Thick 9/64"

          Some might call this
3X8X3.5 (note.. it IS a 1/8" shaft on the motor)

BTY.. I know its not much.. but that silly little cooling tube is good for about 15 deg!

I ordered this motor from HK. Only problem so far is I ordered it a week ago with priority shipping and it's still "processing". I placed 2 orders that day, both in stock and both USA warehouse. I got the other order but not this one. Pretty irritated by HK right now. My son wants his boat running. LOL

As to the cooling thing. Man unless that motor is at full throttle the entire time I can't see it doing anything. And even then...15 degrees? I guess I could have tested it but just looking at that tube zip tied to the motor mount it didn't look like it did much. Maybe if the tube was soldered or welded on so there was constant contact. Hell I think the added load from the cooling pick up probably added 15 degrees.

Anyway, the new motor (if it ever gets here) is an in runner so I can get a real cooling jacket for it.
