I have always heard that you mount the carbon fiber plate even with the bottom of the boat but I'm making a jacking plate for mine with 3/4 inch of travel up and down. Hope that helps

A good height to start with is to set the prop centerline even with the
keel of the hull, then later try moving the motor a little higher up.
This motor works great on 3S; 2S is not enough.
Check to see that the cable is greased.
West Marine Teflon equivalent wheel bearing grease works well.
      Verify that your water pickup on the lower unit is facing upstream;
one of my three was pointing downstream.
      Yes, use the Y adapter.
Use Corrosion X before and after each outing.

There are two differnt small OB's and one looks more scale kind of. The OB Steve sells at OSE looks to have something other than brass at the output??

this is the one similar if not the same as OSE except the brass at the o/p.

        OSE:

Then there is this one at HK:

Which one of these is on the 26" green mono shown in this thread????

I have a 26" mono with the mini outboard stock on 3s. Goes excellent, speed is good, handling is great & run time is good too. Looks good too
Hey asars85, do you have a vid of it running? Can I see some pics on the inside as well?

              Can somebody please?
I am so wanting to start a twin OB build on a Pursuit hull, but I am torn between using two TFL mini or just one O.S. OB. I want the props to C.Rotate and don't know if one can get correct cables or not. Also the TFL uses .130 cable, how reliable are these?
              What about this? http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...d=ose-80915-v2

Tfl does have reverse square drive. They need to be cut to length since made for the Zonda cat. I had a reverse tfl cable omewhere that was accidentally shipped with a boat i converted to 3/16".

Good to know. I know how to cut, but the square end has to be crimped , correct?
The yellow Pursuit in the picture had a ride problem and the owner was raising the OB, wonder how much can one raise, the transom shot looked like both prop shafts were well below the keel line. I asked for updates on his thread but so far no answer yet.

Concerning the drive shafts, one end is square crimped for their captive drive system. Are you saying the TFL outboards have each end square crimped?

Yes, for some reason he does not post much of his build and setup. Its a conspiracy! Lol... No info of setup on green 26" Bling Rocket with OB or the yellow twin by the Dutch guy..... Maybe they will chime in, maybe not???

I'd like to do my Rocket with an OB as I've already said but, more info required.

Ray, I don't know, I thought it may be similar to the O.S., I wasn't thinking... as usual...
Also I wonder if there is up gradable out runner for the unit.
My very original thought was to get the V1 Shock Wave 26 with the open cockpit for the "cool" factor, but no luck getting that hull and next choice was the Aeromarine Challenger. But I acquired a Pursuit ........

I have a ski-vee 10 that was built back in the early to mid 80's and was skinned with 1/64 light ply. I have recently rebuilt the drive train and put a 2200kv atomix motor into it with a .098 ose flex cable going to a proboat black widow modified stinger . the boat hasn't seen water in over 15 years and in the last week has been out trying to set it up. this hull loves to ride on the transom and I have avoided putting trim tabs on it as its a small transom but after yesterday I am designing and building tabs for it. flipped it three times on the same battery and got up to 53kph and feel with trim tabs I can probably get more out of it.

                          hope your enjoying yours

Great little ride you have there John, love watching it run. Trim tabs will help a bit. Just some 1/2" x1/2" angle aluminum will work. I have a bunch from HDepot.

Almost the same boat except the tops are different and materials.
