    JAE mini sprint rudder reinforcement

    Can anyone post pics of what the JAE mini sprint aluminum rudder reinforcement looks like? for 3S recommended

        Did it by adding long plate epoxied on outside the hull. The wood was from spare leftovers from the kit. They should incorporate that into the design as the piece is already there!

            Not for any rudder support, it was not part of the design. You can do a few things, 1. Use the rudder extension bracket that came with the kit, which is not used anyways, and do what Martin did above in his post, OR 2. reinforce the rudder on the inside (we talked about this already) OR 3. Use the spare wood from the kit's deck area and shape a bracket on the outside and just glue it to the outside hull like I did. Martins is the most strongest but heaviest, I didn't want to add any weight so I glued on the outside on the first kit I did. On the second one I wanted less weight so I did a wood block on the inside of the rudder against the rear transom (we talked about this already in your build thread).
