impulse 9 cavitation 3/4 the time?

So I got an impulse 9 to race around with my blackjack 9.
For some reason the impulse tends to have cavitation most of the time.
The only way you can drive is if you feather the throttle super lightly and dont turn hard.
You cant just punch the throttle at all like on the bj9
My blackjack has none of these problems....Sometimes the prop will lose bite but not nearly as much as the impulse.
    Can anybody help?

What are you doing with the battery placement? Have you messed with the trim tabs?

My Impulse runs great, planes out quickly. My Blackjack is weight-sensitive in getting up on plane.

I've had that problem a lot with my sons bj9. It didn't do it at first. Now it cavitates all the time. I sharpened the prop and it seemed to help a bunch.

Ive only put 1 pack thru the impulse. The bj9 can literally run circles around it.
Im going to try some trim tab adjustments

Did you run the brushed motor at slow speed to help seat the brushes? Or just punch full and go?
Also, the stock charger doesn't do a great job of fully charging the battery. Cycle that battery a couple times. I got better charges using my regular charger.

No but that wouldnt contribute to cavitation i dont think. And for the battery I charge using my real charger now which seems to help.

Trim adjustments somewhat helps but there isnt a fix for the cavitation while turning left.
There is no way im going to be able to make the impulse9 keep up with the bj9

Funny, because my Impulse9 blows my BJ9 out of the water thus far. Only 3-4 runs on the Impulse, only a couple on the BJ. Been playing bigger boats most lately.

I dont think they make any aftermarket props in this size. As far as I know were stuck with the stock

For the guys that can use a dremel, just sharpen the prop and thin it a little. It fixed my sons cavitation problem.
