    Mini-Renegade with Barbwire Motor?

I have a mini renegade rigger with the non-water cooled out runner motor. I just don't like the heat. Would a Barb-wire 2950kv motor work? What would you guys recommend for a prop? I will keep everyone posted with my results.

    Thanks, Allen

That's pretty cool! I actually built a mini Predator rigger- http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ilt-for-my-son . It looks as if you widened the tub, I scaled mine down equally all around and kind of regret it due to how narrow it is but it works. After getting my Barbwire and seeing how well it performed, I was thinking the same thing about trying that motor in the rigger.

How long did you make the Renegade?

      Kwiktsi,

I will keep this thread posted on this conversion. I bought this rigger 4 or 5 years ago. Ran it a couple of times and then put it on the shelf.
It's the stock 13 by 9.5 inches. I will buy a new barbwire to get the parts. I will use the strut, rudder and tabs on my MHZ mini mono, I believe it's the Gieco. It has the stock straight wire drive, but on 3s with a Feigo motor it is out of control. I don't know the kv but it appears the label states 3946 rpm. Do you have videos?
      Thanks, Allen

Alex, thanks for the post. 3400kv on 3s? How do you keep it cool? Can you post me some pictures? What brand of motor and ESC?

I want to get this thing screaming like the video that OSE has posted for several years!!!!

          Thanks for your help.

It's the one that comes with the kit I destroyed one and now am almost done building a new one. X431 purple plastic prop is recommended but I use a x435 cut to 33mm and it hauls a$$ a little heat but nothing major

Alex, do you have a source to replace the original motor that comes with the kit?
