I just picked up a Blackjack 9 and think it needs a better prop as well.

So nobody makes props for these?????
My impulse seems unusable because of cavitation or the prop just blows out.

They are pretty new, I'd be a little surprised if props were out already or even will be......

I also notice the impulse will only run clockwise smooth. Counter clockwise causes alot of cavitation.

I'm real curious why yours performs so differently than mine.

On the flipside, why my BJ9 doesn't run nearly as well as my IM9. That being said, I haven't sat down and messed with them enough to problem solve.

Im confused myself. I resharpened the prop again and was able to gain back the performance lost by the first sharpening attempt. The messed up part is if you mess your prop up... your outta luck until 2014 cuz thats when theyre in stock... LAME. Everytime I run the IM9 I say that Im going to exchange it for another bj9. But you are giving me hope that it can be turned into a fast little boat, and making me just want to keep it. But its no fun to race them against eachother....the bj9 is going to win every time. It literally hops outta the water almost all the way when you punch the throttle. Zero cavitation, and can turn both ways like a beast.
