MiniCat Velocity Mono or Aquacraft Revolt 30?

Yeah, I realize they're two very different sizes. But I've got a Futaba radio/receiver and these seem to be the two of the best best radio-ready models in the $250-ish price range.

Lipo packs will be 3-4x more for the Revolt. I guess the trade-off is the larger size is cool. Though that MiniCat looks awesome.

Both look to be nice quality, with good hardware and support.

I really have no reference point, in that the only boat I've owned is a little Steerix STRX-9. Been a lot of fun in the pool the last few weeks, but I'm ready to move up.

    Appreciate any feedback.

As you stated, they are totally different boats not only size wise. I personally don't think you should base your decision on how ready the boat is to accept a particular brand of radio. You need to ask yourself where would you run this boat most of the time. I don't have any of the boats you mentioned, but I have similar sizes and they give the driver a different feel and Yes, the investment will be considerblly more for a Revolt, but the 1st question I will ask is the size of your pond ( lake) and how is the water condition is most of the time BY THE TIME YOU ARE THERE.
Too many boats, not enough time...

Yeah, realized I hadn't mentioned how/where I'd be using it, sorry. Just recreational use, no intentions of racing it or anything. Body of water would be small pond (150yd run, maybe) to small lakes. They're powerboat-free, so conditions would be dictated by the wind. But in general, glassy to very mild chop from a breeze. I didn't see that being much of an issue with either of these.

My choice wasn't based on the radio-readiness of these two, but just on the pricepoint. Looking around, these two seem to be about the best value for what you get, but I'm certainly open to suggestions.

I had looked at the Barbwire, Shockwave 26, etc... But these two definitely seem a step up in hull/hardware.

      Thanks
