Got a 45'x12' pool- rc boat suggestions?

We just moved into a place with a 45'x12' pool. I've been out of the RC game for a few years. What's the hot setup for a ready-to-run rc boat that will be in the pool? I'd love to find a fast one for me, then a slow, indestructable one for my 3 year old to bang into the walls with.

I have an origional traxxis blast, but it would need new batteries and charger and I might be into a new boat for that price. Also, have li-po battiers made it to the small boats yet? I have several micro-helicopters that fly for 8 mins on a tiny micro li-po cell....

The Aquacraft Mini mono, cat or thunder boats would be good, not real fast and good run time. The new little 17" Atomik barbwire mono is faster but turns sharp too, but not for a 3 yr old. I have one each for me and the grandkid but we have a small pond to run on.

The Aquacraft mini models would be a good choice. I think they are a pretty good boat for the money. They are all abs hulls and dont go so fast that they are hard to control. The parts are also pretty cheap as mostly the rudder control arm or rudder mounts break. They are simple to fix and the parts are about 1.79 for the parts that break. I have seen 4 mini rio in a small pool run and bang into the walls and other boats and hold up. The mini wildcats are also pretty darn tough. I love to see kids get into this hobby and have fun. After all thats what it is about. If you want to pick one up let me know. You can also check Joysway boats that are distributed by Atomik.
