    Mini mono

First post. I have seen several posts about the Minomono wire drive being so bad. Is it really a big problem? I want one but do not have to modify it right off the bat. Would appreciate some advice about this boat or alternatives. Thanks.

Paul - the problem is that it's only 040" in diameter.

Contact this guy... http://www.rcraceboat.com/StorePAGE.html -- he's "the man" when it comes to wire drive setups.

Ask him if he can set you up with a wire drive setup that has a 062" or 078" wire connected to 1/8" prop shaft.

Let us know what he says. I have a Mini Mono and would like to upgrade the wire drive also.

He said he will have to research the drive before he can give a price. I haven't received anything else from him.

He just built mine a week ago. The flex shaft and sharpend and ballanced prop cost me 54.00 shipped. Haven't run it yet but, hopefully it makes a diffrence.
