What's the verdict on this as its currently in my cart but not sure whether to take the plunge! I've got a pair of 2200 3s packs in storage so looks like this would be ideal

Its a great little boat to start off with I think, I still enjoy running it and Ive moved up significantly since. Id buy it again.

RE: Using the 4200kv donkey motor on 3s makes the thing an absolute rocket, it definitely needs the 50a esc.

          HOWEVER

It is a fair bit of stuffing around to get the motor to fit in place and stay there. With such high rpm the slightest imbalance anywhere causes monstrous vibration and seems to rattle the motor loose. Im currently debating weather to glue the motor in it or not.
I haven't had a chance to test this idea out well enough to recommend it or provide a how too. The motor temps were quite high if I remember correctly, but I believe that to be propeller related, just haven't had enough of a chance to try it out.

The nice expensive flex shaft and billet alloy prop are at the bottom of the river now so its got a farken huge 3 blade on it, and the stock motor back in it (a rubbish idea I tried for 1min and not since). Might charge a pack up glue the donkey motor in it and go for a run today, I can always file/cut down the blades on the prop till it works.

For ease of fitment and what i think would be a great upgrade motor Id use this...

I just want a cheap small boat to chuck in a back pack and run on small water, I've got a twin cat and a large mono for when I am being a bit more serious! just missed out on one on eBay although it as getting close to HK price so backed out

Id grab one of HK, they hook along well for the size, they flip over easy but all round a great toy boat.

Is the hull fiberglass or plastic?

They are super fun to rip around even in plain stock form with just a prop. I use a 432B

                          Hello everybody,

I know that this post is 2 years old but I hope some are continuing to drive their boat.

So could you tell me where is the COG of this boat ?

What did you do to ameliorate the stability of the hull ?

My boat with my adjustments don't porpoise no more (pitch axis), but in not so rough water, at full speed, it rolls over : it starts to roll over each side very quick, and at last it rolls over on it back (it become unstable on the roll axis)...

My adjustments : I put my battery at the max (2200 mah) in front left of the boat and I push up the struts (a little more than the 0 level).

                          Thank you for your thoughts,

And sorry for my bad English, I hope you understood me

Does anyone know what coupling to use on this boat to replace the stock grub screw type?

                            Thanks
