that motor is only rated to 25a constant - almost picked one up until I found that out, I don't think it will handle the load very well.

I've got this motor and esc in my RC air boat. But that's a different hull and characteristic.

air boat is less load I would assume but could be wrong. I'm sure it would work if it was propped really lightly

The airboat has MORE load due to water surface of airboat compared to monimono. I would put a Leo 2550kv on 3s and a 432 octura prop. Now with using a high voltage makes it easier on esc and as a whole will run cooler. Car motors will use 2S voltage and not burn up. Just my 2 cents.

well, I hit up the local hobby shop, and bought a 40A ESC. it looked the same as the AquaCraft 20A ESC. And unfortunately it didnt fix my problem. it'll run for about 5 minutes, then stops. Its like the motor wont spin, or has a spot where it wont turn. hard to describe. Guess I should get an inrunner for it and quit messin with the outrunner motor.

Check your motor timing on that esc you got. Could be a issue. As out runners like higher timing generally
