Haven't given up on this build just been busy with work and trying to figure out what motor and esc combo I want to go with.
I am now leaning towards a tacon 2040 motor, it is a bit cheaper and smaller then the outrunner and I have seen others using it in similar sized hulls with good success.
Here is some pics of the boat top deck primed and bottom of boat before getting fresh coat of white.
I have a 20/40 that hydro gave me jeff you can have it if you want it. on 1.5s 3cell she just got to hot its not water cooled, but you can try a 2cell ,my boat was just to big ,I got a 2835 380s 2700 and she fly's ,just send me your add and I'll drop it in the mail tommorrow

I think that's the same one he had in this boat when he was running it.
I guess it's worth a try.
Thanks I will PM you.
Jeff that motor chud has was the one that was in that hull but got very hot!!! it was on a 3s 1500 lipo, 35a turnigy marine esc and a 427 prop,, i was told to try running it on a 2s lipo and mabe a 430 prop but i never got that far but for free try it maybe you can find a sweet spot in the setup and keep it cool....

Yeah I remembered that from your pics and us talking before.
I figured the same thing why not try it out and see what happens.
I have a bunch of small props I can try out.
Did the coils help in cooling it at all you think?
Also what kv was it again 3600???
