    just some future build

i like to plan my builds in advance, so i probably wont be starting this on untill this christmas or even later...

my dad has wanted me to build a gas boat for a while now, so ive been thinking of trying out this 70" apache hull from expresscraft...i could run a stock zenoah and get speeds in the mid 40's....might eventually buy a 2nd motor and an inline kit and make it an inline zen...just a project ive been thinking of doing after i finish the SW36, supervee, drifter, proboat, cc2, and the villain....

anyway, just something ive been thinking of

Sounds like a nice project wookie man!

mid 40's in a 70" hull with a stock 26cc zen? That sounds a bit high don't it.?

    I got a mid-mod zen in a 40" blast cat. I get about 50MPH. I thaught that was good!!!!

thats what i was told by someone who owned the hull....its a fairly light hull, and dispite its length, its somewhat narrow....(meant to look like a real cigarette boat)

it i put an inline full mod zen in that hull, i would probably be getting speeds in the 60's or maybe even the 70's if i build it light, but i would want scale speeds....

I helped a good friend setup a signature 70 apache.
that boat was a older one and it was heavy to my liking. I don't think you will hit 40mph with a single zen.
and the boat looks like a apache not a cig. Lol. apache's are better then cigarettes any way.

i think he was using the general terminology for any long fast boat. does apache still exist? did don aronow's step son make apache?

i've always wanted to build up one of those huge apache hulls with staggered twins and scale #6 drives

yes apache's are still around and going strong.still on top of there game
staggered twins cuz they are skinny. If you want a crazy one a buddy of mine own 4 of them and one of them the 70 signature has 4 sterling 1200's
            running w/o trim tabs
i believe he sold the business to another guy who is keeping them low profile until he makes his re- entrance with a couple new hulls

well....like i said, i would eventually buy a 2nd zen and an inline kit and make it powered by inlie zens....

justaddwata told me i would get somewhere around 40mph....he had this hull before and is very experienced in gas boats, so i think he knows what he's talking about...
