    Best boat for my purposes?

So, I live on a lake. It's not too wide, but nice and long, and very calm. I'm trying to determine what boat is right for me. I have a Supervee27 and like it, but I crashed it, due to radio failure, cheap stuff I guess. I also have a 1/8 Scale Hydro (Gasser), but I crashed it as well, due to loss of the rudder. I have yet to fix it, and have never resolved the tuning issues related to the engine. Besides, I can't run Gas/Nitro on my lake.

I'm trying to decide what to get. Here are the options I'm thinking of:
    1. Miss Elam Brushless from ProBoat
    2. UL-1 Superior from Aquacraft
    3. Used brushless rigger (looking for some suggestions here, can't seem to find anything availble right now)
    4. Build (Commission the building of) a new rigger, like the Xzess III Mr. Krabs (maybe from Andrew at FastElectrics)

    The key considerations are:
    1. Relability - I don't want something I have to be constantly fixing (or at least as much as reasonable)
    2. Durability - If I wreck it, I want something that will hold up and can be repaired
    3. Value - Money is not a problem, but I want too feel good if I'm spending more than a few hundred dollars

Since my first foray into R/C boats, I've learned to become a decent R/C Heli pilot, and own and maintain 4 Align Trex helis (2x 600N, 500, and 700N).

Please give me your best assesment and any thoughts you might have about which direction I should go in, or if I should pursue multiple options. Thanks very much for your time!

    Build a new one.
That way it's built how YOU want it.
I say build the Insanity w/ updated sponson designs.

How about buying a good used boat? That someone else worked all the bugs out. That way you'll have something that has been tested and proven.

          I voted Elam...
you'll be set right out of the box with room to expand as your knowledge grows. I would not suggest a used Rigger for the same reasons I would not buy a used motorcycle, you just don't know the shape she's in. There are too few components and all critical for her to work properly. This opinion applies if you want pleasure out of the box, if you can wait and since money is not an issue, the XS 3 is a very nice hull and will yield lots of fun... not for the faint of heart or beginner... she'll go FAST.

I would suggest building your own, it is rewarding and you have many hull designs to choose from and what you wish to achieve.
