Jim, do not do it. I am also a Maytag boater and an old work buddy was going to buy one of my boats and it would have been fun going to the pond together but he backed out of the sale, his wife said no! Plus in these economic times you will not get the true value of your equipment

Not here in Seattle that will not happen. Now if I moved to Colorado I would run with you guy's in a heartbeat.

Organized racing is much more enjoyable then run of the mill pond pounding, which gets kind of boring quiclky IMO.

Thanks Guy's for the comments. I will finish the projects I have and then see how I feel about them.

The decision is up to you, but if you do decide to get out of the hobby, i would suggest to hold on to the essentials you would need in case you want to start back up again (charger, building supplies and tools, etc)....atleast until its been a while and your sure you dont have any want to get back into it

I was out of the hobby for a while, and was itching to get back into it just 6 months after i stopped....now that i finally gave in, im regretting selling all of my things....i didnt mind getting rid of the boats, but parting with my charger and radio systems was a mess up....im lucky that there are some selfless people on this forum to help getting back a little easier (Diegoboy and FlyingScotsman are two of them)....
