    Need help to mod my ep Arpo 700mm

    I wonder can this boat reach 40-50mph or more

    RC Boating - Want to mod my EP Apro boat - Hi, I want to mod my Apro boat to go faster I hv 4s lipo, 100amp esc but motor I m deciding 60mm or 70mm medusa? Can I use 1800kv 60mm or 2000kv 70mm better? I m racing 1/8 conversion off road so d longer d motor d more heat it can take but I guess car n boat is different as

    Sorry wat I hv is medusa v2 2000 36x70mm. Hobbywing 100HV esc n 4s 4100 mah lipo.

    Will the boat be unstable?

      I' ve seen one of those at the lake here. It seemed about as stable as an SV27. At that speed it may be tough to handle.

          We tested that boat and decided not to carry it. The stinger style drive is not adjustable as the boat has a solid shaft. The angle of the stinger puts the bow down and the boat runs too wet. Otherwise it handled just OK. I am tempted to take the 'test' boat we have and put in a flexshaft so we can adjust the drive angle.

          Somebody on Ebay is advertising it as a 50mph boat. That is just a flat out lie. Don't be snookered by these guys. At best, the boat runs 30-35mph. IMHO, there are a lot better boats out there at a similar cost.

            Well it looks like he already has the boat so no doubt want's to work with what he has. It also looks like he has spent some money on it already so a new strut and flexshaft could probably be what he needs to get closer to the goal he is pursuing.

                  Agreed. Converting to a flexshaft is definitely the way to go.
