I get that everyone has thier opinion of what a good product and bad product are. It is gained through experience and a little bit of luck, good or bad. The truth is that FE boat technology is still fairly new as far as brushless/lipos go. No product esc/battery/motor is perfect. Living where I do with no hobby shop within 50 miles I am forced to buy most of my equipment online. My experience so far is that for lipos I buy chinese stuff. Simply because it's inexpesive and i've had good luck so far. Esc wise, I've owned 3 castles,1 etti, 5 hobbywing/seakings and 2 himodels. Out of these, i've smoked one himodel because I hooed up to a rx pack and didn't unhook the bec wire. Soooooo, having good luck thus far with more inexpensive chinese esc's I'll keep buying them...cuz they're cheap! Motor wise, I run mostly Feigao, great power, excellent choice in size and inexpensive. So...... buying Chinese for ME, so far has been keeping more money in this Americans pocket! Also, a lot of the Chinese goodies I get are from American retailers, Not just Hobby King.
