You need a very large hull to handle that type of power and to be able to stably reach that speed.

        Twin monos are tricky.
if you really want a twin I'd do a cat.

it doesnt have to be real fast like maybe 35-40 mph but can jump 1-2 ft chop. i have a jon boat id like to ride next to it and run it threw the river like a real offshore race boat. should i got cat or mono and how big?

Try the thundercat with two Lehner 3080's or Neu 2230's.

                :)

Okay, smaller boat. :) Easier to power.

Twin Neu 1521's or Lehner 2250's.

H&M recommends twin 2250's on 8s lipo for a hull 2" smaller than the thunderbolt.

the gtx is 65". it doesnt say the size of the thunderbolt. which would handle big chop better?

I hate to be the first to ask this, but what is your level of experience with boats in general and FE boats in particular??

a thunderbolt isnt a rough water boat i owned one and live on lake erie. the nose drops too low on the them and they tend to submarine in larger steep faced waves.
