WOW, China is really dumping the stuff now.....I guess exports have been wayyyyyyyyyyyy down and they need cash flow to pay workers that have moved from the farms into the cities. Someone told me the docks are full of containers coming in now. Low costs stuff from China. I get e-mails everyday from China vendors now. Problem, you can't compete with HobbyCity. A good thing? I really don't know if it is or not. If you look at Germany, some would say yes and others no.Comment

They look good, but... 20C does not provide enough current for our FE set-ups and that will result in "Ripple current" where the ESC draws more than the batts can provide. I speak out of experience with the same packs. They WILL fry your ESC and possibly damage the motor as well. We have in my native language an expression "Goedkoop koop is duur koop" which means : Buying cheap is buying expensive...
Invest in nothing less than 25C for FE applications!

What's the diffeence...China or Korea? Same offshore places. Too bad USA can't build this stuff but then we would be paying 3 times the price. Wonder why our economy is bad?Comment

Hobbycity also has some fine spec batts for higher A needs.

Boy, how times change at one time 20C was the pinnacle of liPo battery technology. 20C 2S1P 5000mah battteries mounted in series or you could parallel them for high amp draws should be just fine in low amperage draw motors and suitable hull length, prop and esc. The price for that battery is fantastic as long as there specs are true, as I am cheap and I will give it a whirl. Thanks Dom for the thread. Please note up to this date I have bought very expensive batteries.

Try thinking this way
Are you going to live on $10 an hour Jeff? Last time I heard, you were working for the Government. I doubt that you will have a job if everyone made $10 an hour.
South Korea is not the same as China, they have a better live and better living.

But that is the problem...cheaper to have them do (nike, Levi all the big names go to mexico or other places) For nothing more than profit margin...that is it! When those execs give a crap about the US and not thier own greed then things may get better.
Not sure about their lifestyles or what it takes to live over there but most are just dam happy to work (we are now becing those same countries! unemployment will get worse before better.
Don't forget...families live together and under one roof in many areas. A combined income like that can afford them decent things. What you see on TV is nothing more than the poor and unskilled....don't believe all that crap.
$10 here is not bad when minimum wage is $7.25. Do you think these are skilled workers in a career doing this? Nope...just factory work and I bet they are glad to have it. Did they get an education that cost $60,000...nope. I have freidns that do and they are still flippy burgers!
Another reason the US is losing.... So we have reached the threshold of what we will work for vs what is made. We just continued upping the prices on consumers and now we virtually put the auto companies out of business from not buying because UNIONS continue to screw us and their own workers. I remember when powersteering and AC were options.
Hell, I actually have STEEL in my truck. Ahil damgae...nto a chance unless they are golfballs...now a pea size hail will ruin a new car.
Do you really think it cost $40,000 to build a truck yet $14,000 10 years ago. We ran ourselves out of our own business. Pure econimics....we screwed the pooch long ago....nothing more than to meet the top dogs salaries and investors and many false numbers out.
There was no doubt this was going to happen...ask any economist that has watched it over the last 20 years.Comment

People will not buy Nike and Levi's made here....they shop at Wal-Mart where they are not even sold as it is.
I agree with the Auto thing...that's completly out of line and I still think they will go under.
I think we need to tarrif everything myself.....work like the Germans, about 9 months a year and enjoy life.Comment

Totally agree! I won't use anything less than 25C. There is normally a reason something is cheap. Lipo technology has advanced a lot in the past couple of years. Usually what you're buying, when it's cheap, is old technology. If you're just running for fun and don't expect breakneck speeds, etc. then go for it. If you're going to race competitively, I recommend better batteries.

There are alot of guys on this forum that still run NiMh's. First reason why they don't run lipos is the perceived costs. The second reason is they think they are dangerous or require too much care. I posted this to show "those guys" and anyone interested in a second or third pair that a decent set can acquired at a reasonable price. Those who run higher amp setups usually have more experience and would have looked at this and simply said, "Ok." At least that was my thought. Me myself, like when people find "good deals" and share what they've found. I do hope that others who find "good deals" or "good information" will continue to share and not be discouraged in doing so.Government Moto:

-I also belive that if there is good deal around, we all should know of it.
So please do post if you find something that looks like a good deal!
After all, every1 can make their decisions themselves should they get the deal or not.Comment
