My first run of my triton, started on 4s 45mm prop 9xl,COG 9" from transom. What a hand full very loose and fast. Easily dealt with sv until flipped. Tried COG 10.5" made a little better but was slower. Went to 5s x642 prop, man oh man very very fast but any ripple and you have to be on the ball to keep in the water. Seems to hop a bit in corners. Any ideas to get this beast under just a little bit of control would be great.

can't you tilt prop downward, to lift transom a bit? -

S..., wind, rain, grey sky, we're supposed to be in summer since yesterday!!!???
if transom lifts at TWO then tilt prop to horizontal, then it shouldn't lift, start with COG at 35-40% from transom
add some turn fin if transom still wants to be the first in turns :)Last edited by ED66677; 06-23-2007, 03:19 AM.Comment

Just got back from the pond, ran with borrowed turn fin much better in corners . Ran with mates f1 3.5cc nitro that has been gps at 41mph and walked away from him easliy down the straights on 5s, just had to be right on the ball driving it. Didnt flip it and had a blast.Comment

great!
at that speed I think it normal that you have to be very carefull and ready to pull throttle back at any time!
have you changed anything like prop angle and COG?Comment
