It may be too small for your boat. Try the V947/3."A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough."

What speeds are you looking for? The stock x645 should give you 80+ mph if the boat is well setup and running on smooth water. I found the v942/3 to be too small for full-hull boats of this size and power - it wouldn't hook up at all. The x947/3 will hook up better but it may have too much pitch - it could give 100+ mph if everything works right. Realize that all the v900 props will cavitate somewhat when launched from a dead stop on sport hydros. They launch better on riggers because the prop is usually more deeply submerged at launch.
Other SAW props to look at include the 1747 and 1945. All are high lift props compared to the x645.

I am looking for at least 95mph.I will try the V947 prop and see how it performs. I hate a big change like this because its like starting all over and I have crashed this boat enough LOL. Thanks for the input.PT-45, 109mph, finally gave up after last bad crash

Welp i tried out the V945 and it was a disaster. God forbid i slowed the boat down it would have a real hard time getting back on plane and thats just getting to the end of the lake to make a run! It cavitated big time. It also hopped real bad no matter where the strut was set and was blowing over a 55 mph. The only good thing was that 55 mph was a quarter inch on the throttle. O well ...back to my M645.PT-45, 109mph, finally gave up after last bad crash

One thing you have to learn real fast about running SAW is you aren't going to take a stock prop out of the package and have a perfect, fast run. You are going to have to learn to trim, shape, and cup a prop to make it work on your hull if you want to go 100mph. Talk to just about any of the SAW guys and see what mods they are doing to their props to make them work good. When I ran 44" Gas riggers the prop to run was a Octura 967/3 but in the stock form it made the boat hop like crazy. I sent the prop off and had it worked, it was back cut and cupped and the difference was night and day. One of the biggest tricks to these RC boats is finding a prop and the mods on that prop that make your boat work, all the fast guys will tell you that. You can put a 4000kv motor on 30 volts in any boat but without the right prop the boat will still be a turdTeam Liquid DashComment

I do modify the props i use but i only have experience with two blades. My M645 props i use have worked the best and i have 8 of them that i kept screwing with. My last one i tested i did not cut down as much and it went 88mph on batteries with 2 passes on them already so i know 90-91 is there and i did that right after i gave up on the v945. But as soon as i deviate from whats working well i take two steps backwards every time.PT-45, 109mph, finally gave up after last bad crash
