I have a Villian EX that I use 2 8.4 NiMH batteries but was wondering if 2 7.4 Lipos would produce more RPM even though it is a drop of 2 volts? I'm leaning toward the higher voltage as opposed to the amp supply? Thanks

I'll ask again, I think I posted before the threads got wiped out. I wish Steve would explain how the threads are removed. It seems to happen at 10:30 to 11:00 PM PST on weekdays and from 10:00 am until 12:00 PM PST on Sat and Sun. Doesn't make any sense to me but I figure, Deal with it! -
The lipo batteries will put out much more amps giving your motors more power to pull the props through the water and possibly get a bit higher speeds.. you will notice a much better punch out of the hole with lipo batteries...NAMBA20...Caterpillar UL-1, P-Spec OM29, P-Mono DF33, P-Spec JAE, Aussie 33" Hydro-LSH, Sprintcat CC2028 on 8s, PT SS45 Q Hydro, PS295 UL-1 power, OSE Brothers Outlaw QMono 4-sale, Rio 51z CC2028 on 8sComment

This is a brushed setup but the Lipos at 2 volts less will be the way to go over NiMH? Without a GPS unit, I don't think I would know the difference. I did not see any change when I put on the Octura 447 l/r set of props but I guess it went faster. Hard to tell when you expect something to be way more and it doesn't happen. I'll try the lipos though and see what happens but it seems that big changes gets you little rewards. Try, try again as the saying goes!Comment
